FAQs
Do you provide a warranty? BM Tech is the only BMW and Mini Service Centre in the world to offer a Five Year Warranty * on all servicing and repairs. We have the confidence to make this offer because we only use original parts and lubricants and we only employ highly trained BMW and Mini technicians who understand how these cars need to be maintained, so you can have the complete confidence in our servicing and repairs too.
Are BMW dealerships the only ones with the necessary computers and equipment to service my car? We take pride in being fully equipped with the latest computers and advanced scanning technology to work seamlessly with your BMW or Mini’s on-board systems and electronics, including the most recent models. Our highly skilled technical team undergoes continuous training, both locally and internationally, to ensure top-tier expertise and service.
Will the value of my car drop as a result of having a non dealer service it? Absolutely not! We service your BMW or MINI the same, if not better, that the dealers, so there will be no reason to lower the value. Some used car departments will use the excuse that it hasn’t got a full dealership service history, simply to ask for a lower trade-in value! Not only is this practice unethical, it’s bordering on illegal. If they give you a low trade-in figure, we suggest you go elsewhere for a proper valuation.
Will my warranty be voided by coming to BM Tech rather than a dealer?
What do you do during a service? At BM Tech, we provide professional care for your BMW, MINI, Audi, or Volkswagen, adhering strictly to factory schedules and directives. All services are carried out using original parts and lubricants, as specified in your vehicle’s service handbook, by our team of qualified and experienced technicians. Every vehicle undergoes an initial road test and a comprehensive inspection to identify any issues. A detailed report is prepared and reviewed by our Foreman, ensuring nothing is overlooked. While the technician carries out the service, the report is evaluated by our Service Adviser, who will contact you to discuss any necessary items. Once the service and/or repairs are completed, the technician performs a second road test to confirm everything is functioning perfectly. As a finishing touch, we provide a complimentary exterior car wash. Finally, the Foreman conducts a meticulous quality control check and, only when fully satisfied, signs off the vehicle for you to collect. Our goal is to ensure your car receives exceptional care, leaving you confident and satisfied with every visit.

My car is making strange noises and not running well, is this going to cost me a fortune? The key to maintaining your car’s performance is addressing any issues early. Having your vehicle checked promptly allows us to determine whether the problem needs immediate attention or if it can be safely deferred. Catching small issues early prevents them from growing into larger, more costly repairs down the line. Once we’ve identified the problem, you’ll be equipped to make an informed decision. In some cases, a diagnostic fee may apply, but rest assured, we will always provide you with a clear quotation before proceeding with any repairs.
Do you have fixed price servicing? Absolutely! All our services are performed in strict accordance with your vehicle's handbook, ensuring nothing is overlooked. The only time the cost may change is if additional work is needed, and in such cases, we will always notify you first to discuss the details and gain your approval.
Why do quotes for the same work vary so wildly throughout the automotive industry? Many factors, such as labor rates and the source of parts, can influence the cost of servicing and repairs. For instance, the price of spare parts can vary by as much as 60%, as many are produced by a variety of aftermarket manufacturers worldwide. While some of these parts, like brake components made in Eastern Europe or Asia, may be inexpensive, they are often made from substandard materials and can be of poor quality. At BM Tech, we ensure fairness and transparency in our labor charges. Unlike some general mechanics who may charge for more labor time than a job actually requires, we base our labor hours on the manufacturer's guidelines, ensuring you are charged accurately for the work performed. Our team consists of highly trained specialists in BMW, MINI, Audi, Volkswagen, and Mercedes vehicles. Their in-depth expertise allows them to complete tasks more efficiently than general mechanics, ensuring your car receives the best care at a competitive price. We believe that focusing on specialisation is the key to delivering outstanding service and value.
I only get my car serviced when something goes wrong with it. Is that okay? Maintaining a car, especially a BMW or any European model, on an ad-hoc basis is neither cost-effective nor practical. European vehicles are designed for preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and avoid unnecessary, costly repairs. Addressing breakdowns is often significantly more expensive, and the added inconvenience of being without your car for an extended period is another drawback of unscheduled repairs. Our records consistently show that over three to five years, a BMW that receives regular servicing is more economical to maintain than one serviced sporadically. Preventative maintenance is simply the most efficient and reliable way to care for your car.
Do you have loan cars available? Yes, we do! For your convenience, we offer complimentary loan cars while your vehicle is being serviced. There is no charge for the loan car, with an insurance damage excess of $3,000. If you'd like to reduce the excess to $500, we offer an option for $35 per day. This service is available for customers aged 22 and above, and bookings are essential to ensure availability. Each loan car is equipped with child seat anchors, but if you plan to use child seats, please let us know in advance so we can ensure the vehicle is set up for your convenience.
